What Is the AALAS National Meeting? The American Association for Laboratory Animal Science is a nonprofit association with approximately 12,000 members interested in the exchange of information in the care and use of laboratory animals. Since 1950, AALAS has been hosting the largest annual gathering for individuals, academic communities, research institutions, government organizations, and commercial companies to come together and discuss production, use, and care of laboratory animals. The meeting is held over five days and includes workshops, lectures, poster sessions, exhibits, and an awards presentation for professional and technical excellence in laboratory animal science.
